The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
1.0

Book 3 of The Reading Rush 2019
I loved I’ll Give You the Sun, so this was majorly disappointing. I didn’t want to give this 1 star, but the only thing I liked in this book was the poetry. Clearly I’m in the minority, so maybe I should give it away to see if someone else would like it. Every single decision Lennon made I disagreed with, and I found her completely unrelatable. I didn’t even like the depiction of grief after coming off The Astonishing Color of After. Joe Fontaine does not deserve her. I need to stop getting books ABOUT romances because I usually hate that that’s the whole plot and few other things are developed. I think I can only trust a few authors to do it the way I like it.
Will I pick up a new Jandy Nelson? Yes, because of IGYtS, but I will be more wary based on the synopsis.
