A standout volume! I’m looking forward to volume six. However, I’m disappointed with the translation of the epilogue. What was originally a sensual, flirty chapter ended up making me very uncomfortable. I was under the impression that Maomao was being sexually assaulted, especially when past memories of trauma from Pairin were brought up. Shame on Kevin Steinbach and the J-Novel Club team for allowing this diaster to happen. I’ve lost my confidence in the official English-language edition of the light novel. I wish there was another translation available in print.
