It gave “Happy Death Day” vibes but take out murder and add in Christmas and sweetness. I feel like I’ve never read a Groundhog Day- esk book, and if I had, it was too long ago to remember. This was so fun to read. I loved the character development Mae had on her journey to find what makes her truly happy. I didn’t necessarily like Andrew though. I kind of wish he had a little more flavor. And I saw the opportunity for a nice love triangle story line OR/AND a “he was always right in front of you” trope, and I really wished we had gotten one. I also felt like the conflict with Theo was a last minute throw in, if it was part of the plot, I wanted more of it.
