The Roughest Draft
by Emily Wibberley, Austin Siegemund-Broka
it was good!! i loved the writing style - it was probably the closest to emily henry's style that i've read so far - and the level of character development and depth of the main characters. the conflicts the characters faced, both externally and internally, felt entirely plausible, and i loved the seamless switch between the two timelines. i also appreciated that the book primarily focused on the present-day timeline. i didn't think i'd be rooting quite so hard for a couple that had one mc in a relationship with someone else for 75% of the book, but i really loved them together and didn't feel like the timing was too rushed! just a warning though, it's not your typical romance book - in fact, i would probably describe it more along the lines of contemporary or women's fiction.
