Tightrope by Sheryl WuDunn, Nicholas D. Kristof

informative sad medium-paced

4.0

don’t quite agree with the authors’ politics and perspective (to me there’s a undercurrent of American exceptionalism) but still and important exploration that helps to explain cycles of poverty in the US. i appreciated the tenderness the authors had for their friends and in telling their stories.

(also giggled to myself at the final line in their acknowledgements paraphrased:
all errors are their spouse's fault
)
