 This is an amazing start to a new series and a worthy follow-up to Whyborne & Griffin and is set in the Widdershins universe. I was absolutely caught up in the romance and intensely interested in librarian work and arcane horrors. I also fell hard for one of the main characters, Vesper Rune. I have not been down bad for a blorbo this bad in quite a while, it is honestly exhilarating. If you’re in need of a top tier blorbo read this book and think of Vesper Rune.
