I was really surprised to put this book in the same category of my reading as “A Little Life”, but that’s where I put it. It’s really very good. I appreciate the honesty with which each characters viewpoints are written, I appreciate seeing 2011 talked about in a way that jives with my experience of it as a child. How scary and serious things seemed to me at the time - to the point that it reached absurd farcical levels. The book filled me with a great sinking feeling from time to time which is just fantastic, by the end of the book, instead of wanting to stop reading when I felt it, I wanted to lean in and read more and sink further. I think it’s a triumph, this book. I love/hate Pwnage deeply. I hate Laura. I loved the book.
