So the first thing I want to give props to this book for is that it's a quick read. It made me catch up on my reading challenge so that I could have 25 books read for the year so I have props to that for that. But getting into the actual story, I like that the entire book is written in emails it's pretty unique and I like that there's like no actual like dialogue or anything whatsoever. It was a unique way to tell a story and it made for an interesting experience. I like how it was connected to the original books and I got to hear more about Simon, Bram, Leah and Abby and to catch up on their lives and relationships.
That all being said, it's time for what I didn't enjoy. The email function made it that certain scenes you didn't really get a ton of details. Like to be vague there is a scene where they were trying to surprise Bram and I never actually found out what that surprise was. We just get like vague details that it must have gone well and that Simon was sad in a non-connected way but we never actually get the details of why and it's frustrating because I want those details. There were a couple other moments throughout the novella as well that I didn't get all the details I wanted so that's why I had to bring it down a star even though I did enjoy it for the most part.
