This was a sweet friends to lovers but felt like it should have been a novella. There wasn't enough tension for my tastes. It made sense not to drag their get together out, given it was already stretched over 3 books, but it left the rest of the book feeling sort of plotless. There were too many spicy scenes in a row for me; it felt like a bi-awakening check list, and then the family issues just never really grabbed me for some reason.

The guys were sweet and I was excited to see them get together, but it just fell flat for me. I think the previous book having also been a long term friends in love finally get together plot might have taxed this author to give this one something more. I enjoyed the first two books, and felt lukewarm about the third and this, but I'm still going to give the next one a chance in the hopes the series picks back up!
