Sons and Lovers by D. H. Lawrence

3.0

I'm not glad it's over, I'm delighted. But still, I've read worse and Sons and Lovers had several good parts, periods that got me to continue reading it - I just really wanted to know if he'll be able to leave his mother's clutches or not. I'm still not sure about that but I have a feeling that he'll spend his life unable to love anyone.
As for the characters, JFC, everyone here's crazy!!! Except Clara, I kinda liked her and I'm happy she got some kind of happy ending. Paul's way of thinking and behaving with women around him made me really mad, and I would lie if I say I didn't throw the book away from me couple of times. He's so frustrating, stupid idiot! As I said, Miriam is for all purposes asexual in my mind, and I can't even blame religion on that.
In the end, I felt sorry for Paul, living his life like a plant, no one deserves that kind of life.
