wizardgirl 's review for:
James Potter and the Curse of the Gatekeeper
by G. Norman Lippert
Better, much better. Excellent for a fan fiction, which we must remember that it is. It had some weak spots, many places where I rolled my eyes out of embarrassment over the writing or a plot twist, but all in all I enjoyed it.
The main problem I had, and this is with both Hall of Elder's Crossing and Curse of the Gatekeeper, is that as much as I loved the HP books, I don't need as many direct references. The old characters and places are part of the appeal, but let's leave the rehashing out. That's probably just me, I know, but so be it. Let's try to be original
