The Round House by Louise Erdrich
3.0

The Round House excelled in terms of tension-building and character development. Plus, there are many interesting literary devices at play that subtly develop some interesting themes. Still, this is probably the seventh coming-of-age novel I've had to read in high school, and I'm starting to go insane. The writing style is generally pretty tame but has some awesome moments.

That all being said, I'm not too passionate about the themes of the novel, nor the story itself. Probably 3.5 stars.
