I want to like this book, I really do. The plot is sooooo close to being really stellar and it's just not. I literally had to go back and reread parts because big climatic moments are glossed over so I didn't even realize I was supposed to be paying attention. We have the same conversation between Lyr and Rhyan 15 times. And let's not even talk about how we have a 20 page recap and then 20 more pages of more different recap written through the guise of chapter 1. I thought book 1 was decent enough I wanted to keep reading to see what happens. I'm not sure that's the case for book 2. 2.2
