This book is not a chapter book, my library has it listed as J Fiction, but it is a book of poetry. Great perspective on growing up in a time when CTE was not understood, especially as the child of someone experiencing CTE. How scary that must have been. I'm glad we have more regulation in football that can help protect players from getting CTE, but it isn't perfect. I don't know the answer, because football is a very popular sport in the U.S. Hopefully players that do experience CTE get the help and healthcare they need. I would recommend this book to any kid that likes watching or playing football, or that have enjoyed Woodson's books before. This is perfect for 3rd - 5th graders.
