This is the third book I’ve read since last year that’s set during a pandemic, but this one hits the closest for being set in modern times. I like that the world acknowledges the trauma that stems from an event like this, and I hope our world will grow to do the same. I also like that this is one of those post apocalyptic stories that celebrates the connections between people. But while it was engaging on those levels it never really rose above to actually grab me.
