The Last to Let Go by Amber Smith
4.0
Once again, Amber Smith does a wonderful job of telling important stories that need to be told. I personally enjoyed her debut novel more, but that may be because I could relate to "The Way I Used to Be" more. But "The Last to Let Go" highlight the importance of looking at kids who grow up under abusive parents or parents with mental health issues. It's hard to read, heartbreaking, and emotionally jarring, but I would highly recommend it to any and everyone.
