Very interesting book. I love the concept of a character existing without the fear gene, and I wish it had been explored more. I know this is a loooooong running series, but I would have liked the story to be extended. It didn't seem like there was one major event carrying it along, more encounters and surprises that will lead to build up. I did like the dialogue and the characters, though. Gaia's great, Ed's a sweetheart, and Sam is wonderful. The action scenes were intense and well written, and the ending was definitely a surprise. Great YA read!
