So Good by Darcy Burke

I had a little trouble getting into this story at first. There was an immediate push and pull going on between Cam and Brooke that started to get a little frustrating. Then finally things started to fall in to place and it seemed as though they were actually going to give into their feelings and I couldn't get to that part quick enough.

I really enjoyed the banter and sexual tension they had going on and when they finally gave in it to it, it was a huge relief and I couldn't wait to see how things progressed from there. Then suddenly things weren't really progressing, they just happened. The relationship between Cam and Brooke felt a bit like it went from zero to ten in a matter of days (or pages if you will). One minute they were fighting their attraction and the next they were jumping headfirst into more.

They were both dealing with hurtful and heartbreaking pasts and Brooke was keeping a secret that could be a deal breaker, so I get the push and pull and the wanting to take it slow because they were both unsure. I guess I just would've liked to have read more about them while they were trying to wade through their doubts and fears and figuring out how to be together rather than having so much of the book surround them fighting the idea before it ever took root.

Aside from the change in pace of the story, I enjoyed this book for the close-knit family feel it gave and the sweet, sexy romance it was. I liked both Cam and Brooke and think that the author developed them nicely, even if Cam sometimes got a bad rep for being a player when I don't think that's what who was at all.

I won't hesitate to read more in this series. I'm actually really excited to read about Kelsey and Luke in the next book.
