The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives

I am not going to say too much about the book, because then I’ll give away everything, you need to read it yourself to find out what the secrets are!
Baba Segi has 3 wives and then he married a fourth, which caused uproar and turmoil in his house. It would seem that he is a good provider, a fair husband and all he asks in return is everything, food, a clean home, an obedient household and his newest wife who he is so proud of with her bachelor’s degree, to start making babies. His wives plot to destroy her as they see her as unwelcome competition, but their scheming eventually backfires and leads to a shocking and hilarious revelation. Even my husband, who is not into books, said it was a great storyline and it probably needs a TV Series. The book itself is pretty short and very much “unputdownable” you just have to read it, it’s full of drama and comedy, but also offers up sobering reminders of the reality of African women and the consequences that polygamy can lead to. It’s also a great book to read in honor of Black History Month (Feb).
