This is heavy sci fi. Or whatever it's called.  The writing is excellent which is needed because sometimes I find intense sci fi boring but in this case I really enjoyed it.

The commentary on pronouns and culture makes you think a lot.  It makes it a challenge sometimes while reading the book but that's definitely part of the point as it really makes you think.
