Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson
4.0

beautiful book - a bit vague in places, but that's it's charm. you feel like you're inside the author's head, listening to her thoughts. sometimes things aren't explained very well, but that's the thing about unfettered access memory, i suppose.

i didn't really like the fairytale analogies scattered throughout - struggled to see how they related to the plot and i found them a bit boring.

overall, gorgeous book & i want to read more of winterson's novels.
