The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny
4.0

Interestingly, this wasn't much like a mystery book at all. It continued in the same vein as the other books in this series, only more so. These have always been more about the characters and overall theme than the mystery, and this was only more so. It was more of a character exploration than an actual mystery. I kept waiting for them to say that they'd gotten it wrong, actually, and
Olivier didn't do it, just because it seemed the whole way through like such an obvious conclusion. I still think they'll overturn it in the next one
. There was never truly more than one suspect, so it certainly wasn't a classic murder mystery in the Christie style. I still enjoyed it, though, and honestly it made for a nice change.
