Liliana's Invincible Summer: A Sister's Search for Justice by Cristina Rivera Garza

challenging emotional sad medium-paced

4.0

This book was beautifully and well written. The passages about grief and the reflections and connections of random thoughts to the past were sublime.
It may have been a little too long (for what it was), and the ethical issue of sharing someone’s diary entries and letters after their death, as well as the rewriting of the friends’ perspectives were great bookclub discussions.
I will definitely be looking up more if Cristina’s work.
