Lovely, seems as though we have all of the essential elements for a novel by st MacBride, in particular, the Ash Henderson. This is the second book in the series and this time around, Ash Henderson is out of prison in order to assist Police Scotland with a new case - one that bears unpleasant similarities to a serial killer case from eight years previously.
Ash is both intrigued by the case but also anxious that he takes every opportunity to take revenge on the infamous Mrs. Kerrigan, who framed him for murder and has been responsible for his regular beatings while in jail.
At times it is difficult to support Ash as it truly becomes an anti-hero in this book, especially when compared to the
