Yikes. That's the first word that comes to my mind when I think of this book. Parts were gross, and honestly I felt a tiny bit of sympathy for the parents of these kids, but also not. These parents were unhinged in the end. It was a book with a different kind of preface I haven't experienced before, and for that - big points! I love the creativity of the story plot. First audiobook too... think I may stick to physical books with this sort of subject matter lol
