Running in the Family by Michael Ondaatje

adventurous emotional funny hopeful informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

4.75

Michael Ondaatje tells short little anecdotes from his family in a very lyrical, poetic way. He has a unique voice which can be funny and sad at the same time. For those who expect to get to know him,  this isn't what the memoir is about. He mostly describes his eccentric  relatives and messy family dynamics, although there are glimpses of his early childhood.

I enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read more from this author!
