Children of Anguish and Anarchy by Tomi Adeyemi

3.0

Children of Blood and Bone was the book that got me into reading. I read it when it first came out and absolutely loved it. Roen was definitely my favorite character throughout the series and I was really upset that he wasn’t even mentioned in this one, although I understand why she chose not to. I felt pretty disappointed with this book because of that but I also just felt like it was a very rushed ending and the writing felt very immature compared to the past two books which I thought were very good. However I did definitely feel heartbroken for these characters and surprisingly I was upset when Inan died. I really hated him but I felt like he redeemed himself in this book. All in all, I really wish this book was better written for how long we waited for it, I just felt pretty disappointed. I couldn’t rate it lower because this series as a whole means a lot too me.
