The Death House by Sarah Pinborough

2.0

What a waste of a fantastic premise. So much more could have been done with this but the whole book was just teen drama and hormones. To the authors credit she is very believable as a teenage boy and there were some genuinely touching moments (more concerning the friendships than the romance). However that doesn't make up or my frustration at so many unanswered questions and underexplored plot points. Perhaps it needed to be longer to do this. Either way, the blurb sets up a far better book than we get here.
