My first dip into erotica—and as a Greek and Roman mythology nerd, I couldn’t pass up Neon Gods when I spotted it at Elliot Bay Book Company in Seattle. It did not disappoint.

I loved the modern, sexy retelling of Hades and Persephone. Instead of the usual ancient setting, this version felt like it could exist right alongside the Kardashians and it was such an engaging retelling that I had to know how the story unfolded in a 48 hour period.
