If I’m being honest, I expected so much more from Sloane‘s and Ethan‘s story. I hope for a complicated love story and character development
But here’s what we got:
We’ve got Sloane. A girl who’s desperately in love with the idea of a guy, who’d rather drinks poison than to open up about his past and feelings for her. A girl who has a breakdown because Ethan cheated on his high school „girlfriend“ but cheats on her own boyfriend with said guy.
Speaking of Ethan. I have no words. Where was the character development? Just coming to the conclusion that his behavior hurts other people is no character development.
Sadly, the characters just had no depth. I’ve read more than 300 pages and I’m not able to name anything interesting about the characters or their story.
Maybe I’m just too old for the book and their story to relate to their problems.
