The format of the story was somewhat intriguing: a real life authors couple writing a books about two authors who write books together and fall in love doing so. The writing was really good overall but I didn't fully connect with the main characters. It was interesting to explore the different levels of the books (the past, the present and the fictional world of their book) but it also kept me from fully engaging in their story.
