God, I'm so conflicted about this one, but it doesn't feel right giving it 3 stars, so I'm settling on 4 (even though that also doesn't feel right).
I just can't help but care. I want to smack Rob. What an idiot. How blind. How righteous. How... scared. God, I wish you had just trusted the truth more. Things would've turned out different.
I'm annoyed, and I know the story dragged on longer than necessary. It also wasn't even all that mysterious as to who the killer was (I had them pegged).
But French getting me to still care about her characters, even after pissing me off? Incredible.
