Toil & Trouble: A Memoir by Augusten Burroughs
4.0
If you haven’t read him before, I don’t know if this is the place to start. I haven’t read all his memoirs but Running with Scissors made a big impact and helped to provide context for some of the memories he raised in this. He’s just a fabulous writer who can write his life beautifully and craft descriptions of the people in his life so wonderfully. In this book he also reveals he is a witch and comes from a line of witches. This is integrated into the story from the move from Manhattan to an old country house with his husband.
