for the most part, this book was operating on a level i simply do not - google and wikipedia became my best friend while reading. however, overall it was a frustrating read. i understand that the mc's personality was written the way he was due to his surgery, but that didn't change the fact that his lack of empathy (and sociopathy) made it demoralizing to read and hard for me to connect and care for. all the characters other than the mc were far more interesting.
and, of course, the two women in his life are too clingy and he's got mommy issues and aren't women so annoying? smh. truthfully, the mc's opinions regarding them pissed me off so much, and that coupled with confusing scientific terms barely explained, this book was just meh for me.
