The Duke and I by Julia Quinn

2.0

I picked up this book because of the show and I had seen a lot of negative reviews, so I didn’t know if I’d like it or not.

It wasn’t bad. It’s different than the show, so I’m going to try and not compare it. Addressing *that* scene, it was not handled well and the road back to forgiveness was not well explored. It was pretty fast paced and didn’t have as much time as I would have liked for a relationship to develop, but I still thought it was good.

Julia Quinn knows how to write siblings and her writing style is really good. It was genuinely funny and I liked the story. It makes me want to keep reading the series.
