This felt about average. I didn’t really understand how they had such a close bond after they started dating when their love letters really just smut and him saying a few romantic things. The best part of the book is definitely reading the letters and then the uncertainty when he gets out. I felt like she was saying I loved you, but she was still really wary of him and didn’t quite trust him. I did love how smooth and sauve he was depicted and his new broad build kept getting mentioned. I did enjoy the ending how she became friends with the sister and how the sister confronted her abuser with Eric coming in the last second. I just felt like it was incredibly repetitive probably six times that the Annie repeated how uncertain she was of him…
Graphic: Child death, Toxic relationship, Violence
Moderate: Physical abuse
Minor: Adult/minor relationship, Drug use, Sexual harassment
You will never find out what happened to the sister.
