The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

4.0

Overall I enjoyed this book and gained some new perspectives about money.

Typically I am not a big fan of 'self-help' books and have a difficult time being consistent with reading. However this book was written very well, with easy language so I had no problem reading the whole thing in a few days!

I wouldn't say the concepts are mindblowing ( to me) but it was nice to see some of my own ideas validated in the text.

This book has 19 core lessons explained in each chapter but I would say the main ideas are focusing on saving rather then investing to build wealth, living comfortably below your means, and not getting caught up in what other people are doing.

These concepts are things I already believed so that is why I didn't find this book extremely helpful, but if this is new to you, you may have a different perspective.

Overall great read that gave me more confidence in my own ability to build wealth.
