It is honestly a well-written ya book. It has a clear plot, it has good characters, it's got a great setting. I truly think this is one of the best ya books, which actually targets young adults, that came out last year.

However I feel like this could've easily been a standalone. There was a lot of back and forth in this one and I felt like we were just going round and round and at the end,
the death of a God was quite anticlimactic. I would've liked to read more about Iris as she carried Dacre's head back to her own realm.
I also wished we'd gotten more insight on Dacre and Enva's relationship and their perspectives in the book.  From their past to the present.

By the end of the book, the story kind of fell apart, in my opinion
