The Wrong Number 2
by R.L. Stine
Even though Stanley Farberson is in jail for the murder of his wife, and trying to kill Deena Martinson and Jade Smith, the two girls fear that he may have somehow escaped when they start to receive ominous phone calls that repeat facts that only Farberson could know.
A Fear Street book I haven't read before! There are actually a couple, lol. This was neither the worst of the series, nor one of the best. It's perfectly acceptable thriller entertainment, with the usual cliffhanger chapter endings, and a smattering of fairly decent plot twists. The action and excitement is basically non-stop from start to finish for its brief length, so it's never boring. I can't think of much else to say! The fact it holds up fairly well when reading it for the first time as an adult is probably high praise. If you enjoy Fear Street, this delivers what you know and expect.
