"The Inheritance Games" by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is a captivating YA mystery that follows Avery Grambs, a high school student whose life is turned upside down when billionaire Tobias Hawthorne leaves her his entire fortune. The catch? Avery must move into the sprawling Hawthorne House and navigate a world of wealth, privilege, and danger.

Barnes crafts a compelling narrative filled with puzzles, riddles, and secrets, keeping readers engaged from start to finish. The Hawthorne grandsons add an element of intrigue and romance to the story, and Avery's character is both relatable and resourceful. While I don't typically read much YA, "The Inheritance Games" proved to be a quick and enjoyable read, with a plot that moves at a brisk pace and ends on a satisfying cliffhanger. I give this book a solid 5 stars and look forward to continuing the series.
