I found it very tedious, but kept on reading as I wanted to know what would happen. Some times I found the things that happened hard to believe and stupid (it felt as those characters in horrormovies running towards their pursuer), which led to me being demotivated to read further. However, I finished it, mostly because of the dry humor of Odd.

Looking back, it is a fine book, even though I have read better ones. I feel as though there are some loose ends after finishing reading it.

Personally, I have never felt so eerie as when Odd described the bodachs and the black room. Kudos for Koontz for writing such that I was hesitant to go to sleep after reading.
I did not expect that ending and was fairly shocked by it. I was really rooting for Odd and Stormy, so I felt sad when I read the last couple of chapters.
