The Body Artist by Don DeLillo
1.0

I picked up this book with Delillo's past achievements in mind and found myself severely disappointed. The premise was extraordinary but was bogged down with the author's extreme and demented stream-of-conscious style. The characters are loosely defined and their motives are heavily skewed, lost in the overly florid language and bizarre representation of their current circumstances.
While the premise is intriguing the author's fails to follow through, too caught up in the artistic and esoteric representation of an every day life.

If perhaps the book had been longer or there had been deeper exploration of the characters, I would not feel as if I had lost and hour and a half of my life.
