Making It So by Patrick Stewart

funny informative reflective

4.0

I picked this up because I'm a huge TNG fan.  So I was a little disappointed when there wasn't more of TNG in this (maybe a quarter), but so happy I read it.  I learned a lot of Stewart's life; from his childhood and relationship with his family to just after the end of TNG.  It was interesting to learn more of his personal life - although my heart broke when I found out why his marriages ended.

I think this is more aimed for people who are fans of the theater because that was the main focus of the book.  Not knowing much about theater or Shakespeare means I was lost on some of the references.   But I can't help but love this overall.

Stewart will forever be my favourite older actor and he will always elevate anything he's in - it's the accent (he talks about this too!). If you're like me and could listen to him read the dictionary, then you'll want to pick up the audiobook because he narrates!
