THIS BOOK IS SO AMAZING AND I WILL BE ITS CHAMPION AND ALWAYS RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO READ THIS DUOLOGY!!
I love this book and the way it handles the message and theme throughout the series. It is such a well-thought-out book that you can tell that the author put so much into it. There are little seeds planted throughout the book that once you discover what is going on make you want to go back and read again with that knowledge and see those little tells. Nothing felt like it came out from nowhere everything that happened had a purpose to it. And I love all the characters especially Voya and Luc and their relationship.
These characters felt so real because every character wasn't perfect they all had their flaws and did wrong to each other. No one was the clear-cut villain or Bad guy in the storyBeside Justin they were just people who were trying to do what was right for the sake of the people they cared about.
Sambury delivered and conveyed the message and theme of this series in such a beautiful tragic dark way but still hopeful that made you feel the scars that are left from mistakes that are made in the present but also from the past that linger till it is probably taken care of and healed. I feel like this is an accurate depiction of generational trauma and how it is not about how one family member is continuing the cycle.
There is so much more that I could say about why I love and highly recommend this book but I don't want to spoil anything. It is also diverse in both POC and Queer people so just do yourself a favor and read this beautiful story.
