Everyone likes to think of The Infernal Devices as their favorite Cassandra Clare series, but for me this has always been the weakest quite frankly. While I still love the world and the time, I think this is the weakest novel I've read from her.
I still had enough love for Jem, Charlotte, and Henry to give this 4 stars anyway and after my third time reading this I stand by that rating but there were some flaws
Will Herondale, now I know he's everyone's favorite but ever since the second read I can't like his character and I know it plays into a story line down the road but I found some of his actions unnecessarily cruel and I stand by that.
the villain is quite frankly the weakest in this series and he's boring. I don't care about his motivations or if he is there at all, as a villain stan that's a huge L.

That this continues to world build from previous series
