What a whirlwind. Taking us to this entirely new place and introducing so many new characters can be risky, but it was well done. I also really enjoyed seeing how the characters we already know and love interacted in this new setting. I also really loved seeing more into tzains character. He easily became a favorite. I also enjoyed the bi representation.
One thing I will say is the end was very abrupt. I know there will be another book but darn, it ended so fast.
Also where is Roën? I kept waiting for him to show up and he never did ☹️
