Traveling Light by Lynne Branard

4.0

This is my first time reading work by this author. I enjoyed it. The book was a sweet, gentle book about Alissa (Al) , a lady in her early thirties who ventures from North Carolina to New Mexico on a mission. After purchasing the unclaimed contents of a storage locker, she finds the cremated remains of a gentleman named Roger and an address for the funeral home from which they originated. After unsuccessfully attempting to learn more about the person online, she makes a snap decision to drive to New Mexico with her three legged dog, Casserole, to find a suitable final resting place for Roger's ashes. The trip and the people that she meets along the way help Al find out about life and what has been missing from hers.

I would recommend this book to those who are in the mood for something that is light, yet not fluffy or whimsical. A charming book.
