Where All Light Tends to Go by David Joy

Did not finish book.

I've been saying for a while that I need to start giving up on books I don't enjoy because there are so many good books out there, but I usually feel too guilty. This book, on the other hand, I did not feel guilty about putting down. The characters and atmosphere seemed a bit forced, and I don't consider myself a prude, but I found the level of vulgarity in the book unnecessary. I did care about Maggie's story a little, but she wasn't in the book enough to keep me reading. Did anyone else read this and disagree?
