wusswoo 's review for:
The Cardigans
by Cole McCade
I love police procedurals and that's what initially drew me to this book. The two MC's were interesting with enough back story to keep me intrigued. The story itself was quite gory but twisty enough that I couldn't guess whodunnit!
What I really liked about this book is this - I've read a lot of M/M but I fell out of love with the genre when I started to feel like there were too many books that were M/M by numbers. You all must have read them, guys meet, fall in love/lust, sex, the big misunderstanding, split, get back together, sex, the end. I started to think that I didn't even want to read sex scenes anymore, especially when they were just thrown into the story with no build up. This book is a slow burn on the relationship front and I love it. It's made me want to give M/M another chance.
Great book, looking forward to the next episode.
