Why I read it – Youtuber Super Eyepatch Wolf has an awesome review about this one.
The longer I look at the frame above, the more apparent the madness becomes. Chi No Wadachi is the story of an adolescent boy stuck with his toxic mother. She goes from being just another over protective mother to bat shit crazy women without a warning. Her son is completely devoted to her or rather he doesn’t know the way normal is. The horrors of having no-where else to turn, no one to confide and a father who is impossibly oblivious to everything keeps the son in constant state of dread and fear. This fear slowly seeps into the reader’s spine as we are constantly presented with the son’s POV. It lingers long after the manga is done and dusted.
